Granny stripes tea cosies

My latest make is these crochet granny stripe tea cosies. I am taking part in the zeensandroger podcast granny crochet along and I shall be entering these.

I used the granny stripes tea cosy from this book which I already had on my bookshelf and had not yet used.

The yarn I chose was Deramores studio dk which was from my stash.

The colours I used were frost, sky, lapis, blue velvet and indigo.

By using both a pattern and yarn from my stash for this project I am also joining in with Lynne Rowe from the wool nest with her use it own lose it 2018 campaign.

This was a really enjoyable and quick make and something I have been meaning to do for ages. Both of my tea pots are in constant use, the smaller one for one cup of tea and the family size one.
The blue and white colours on my tea pots determined my yarn colour choice and I am really pleased how they both turned out.

This has now got me thinking of more colour schemes and perhaps seasonal tea cosies might be nice. Watch this space.

Thanks for stopping by and until next time.
