This week I did some sewing and made myself a skirt to wear with the knitted jumper I recently finished. To be honest it was a totally impromptu make but don't you find sometimes that the unplanned things you make can often be the best? I also knew it would be a quick make because there are only 2 pattern pieces for this skirt.
This is really good pattern and I have made several versions of this skirt. I keep meaning to try the other patterns included with this one. When I get round to it I will make sure I write a blog post about it and show you what I make.
As this fabric is quite thick with no stretch I added a small split on one side like the pattern recommends. Having a split on a pencil skirt does make walking and sitting down much easier!
The only change I made to the pattern was to line my skirt because I always think it feels much nicer when you are wearing it.
I am really pleased with how my skirt turned out. I think styled with a jumper, boots and opaque tights it's a really comfortable outfit to have in my wardrobe for when the weather is cold.
Thanks for stopping by and until next time.
