My Summer sewing plans
With the recent hot spell of weather we have had in the UK I have been really enjoying wearing some of my summer dresses that I have made in the last year. I would really like to sew up a few more to wear this summer and to take on holiday. Last night I pulled out these fabrics from my stash that I think I would like to make them out of.
I have 3 patterns in mind all of which I have sewn before and I am really pleased with.
Simplicity 2247 version C which I made last month using some light weight floral crepe from my stash.
These 3 fabrics have the most drape and will be perfect for the Simplicity dress. Although I have less fabric of the two pieces below so I may not be able to use these. If not I shall make something else with them and find some other suitable fabric for this pattern.
New look 6263 version D which I made several of last summer.
These 3 fabrics are all cotton poplin and perfect for the New Look dress. Although I do have less of the third fabric and I may not have enough for this pattern. I shall see how I get on when I start laying out my pattern pieces.

And finally the Kiomi dress from this book which I made at the end of last summer.
These 2 cotton fabrics are perfect for the Kiomi dress.
I think I will make a start first on a Kiomi dress. I have just made 2 of the Simplicity dress, the floral crepe one that I have shown you and the 2nd dress is a for a product review for Minerva Crafts. I look forward to sharing that with you soon when my guest blog post goes live.
Thanks for stopping by and until next time.

April round-up
I particularly love this time of year in Spring when everything is growing at such a fast rate. This week our apple tree burst into life with lots of lovely white blossom. Hopefully this means we will have a good apple harvest.
We had a mini heatwave here in the UK a couple of weeks ago and I enjoyed breakfast in the garden several times that week which was wonderful.
This month I purchased this book which really reminds me of a modern day version of Mrs Beeton's book of household management. I am thoroughly enjoying reading this and I particularly like all the beautiful photography in the book. In my quest to be more organised this year I am always open to any tips or suggestions that will make my life easier and this book is full of just that.
And you may remember last month when I said my woodland blanket was almost finished apart from the border still to do. Well this month I crocheted a border and decided that I actually preferred the blanket without one. So I removed it and now my woodland blanket is completely finished and I am so thrilled with it.
Thanks for stopping by and until next time.
