April Makes

If you read my previous blog post you will know that I have been making the picnic on the beach blanket which I finished this month. It was an 8 week crochet along which I really enjoyed.

This is how the blanket looked after week 5 had been completed.

And this is how the blanket looked after week 6 had been completed.

This is how the blanket looked after week 7 had been completed. It's getting really big now.

And here is my finished blanket after the border section has been completed.

I am so thrilled with how it turned out. I felt a little bit lost when it was finished as I had been so absorbed in this during the last 8 weeks. It was such a fun colourful project and I enjoyed every stitch.

I have started another crochet blanket which I will share with you in my upcoming May makes post.

This week I have also been sewing. I made myself another kinder cardigan. I've made several versions over the years and the short length without pockets is my favourite. It's just perfect as a layering piece for Spring.

The pattern is from this book and I used some marled grey ribbed jersey fabric from my stash which I had purchased quite a while ago. So it was really lovely to finally use it.

Thanks for stopping by and until next time.

March Makes

Hello I hope that you are all well and finding some time for making. I thought that I would pop on and share with you what I have been making in March which was mostly crochet and a little bit of sewing. I could not resist joining in the picnic on the beach blanket crochet along which started in March. It's a fabulous free pattern designed by coastalcrochet and the pattern is released in sections over 8 weeks. This is all I want to work on at the moment and I am enjoying every stitch.

This is how the blanket looked after week 2 had been completed.

This is how the blanket looked after week 3 had been completed.

And this is how the blanket looked after week 4 has been completed. I look forward to showing you the completed blanket in my upcoming April makes post.

I have also been doing a little bit of sewing from this book and I made myself some yoga pants. I used some jersey from my stash and I am really pleased with how they turned out. They feel like secret pyjamas as they are so comfortable.

Thanks for stopping by and until next time.
